This is a vintage hand knitted bed jacket dating, I believe, to the 1930s.  It is made in a soft pink coloured wool.  It has small, short cuffs that the hands go through, but the piece is more like a cape or shrug.  The edge is turned to form a shawl type collar with pink satin ribbon running through it that ties at the front in order to secure the piece on the body.

Sizing: This should fit a range of medium sizes, but please note the following measurements:

Shoulders:  15”, approximate, estimated with a 1 1/2” centre gap

Bust:  57” including the arms with a 1 1/2” centre gap, includes the arms

Length:  28“, measured flat, from the neck to the edge of the cuff

Condition:  It is in very good condition, no pulls or skips, very clean with no wear, it looks like it was put away and well stored over the last 90 or so years.

This cape features an interesting construction.  We usually see bed jackets, but bed capes seem to be a rare item - fun piece!
